Cost: Patch-only entry is free in September and on October weekdays. In October, weekend patch-only entry is $5 per person online or $10 at the gate. Pumpkins and full festival admission cost extra.
If your family wants the big fall experience, start with Sweet Eats Adventure Farm. Its 2026 festival has a 4.5-acre corn maze, pig races, animals, pony rides, wagon rides and more than 30 farm activities. Friday and Saturday nights in October also feature fireworks, except on Halloween night.
The patch itself has more than 40 pumpkin varieties. You can stop by just to pick pumpkins or buy festival admission and make a day of it.

The Round Rock Pumpkin Festival is an easy choice for North Austin and Round Rock families who want a festive afternoon without a long drive. Held near Old Settlers, it has a large pumpkin patch, giant corn pit, games, a barrel train, and fair food.
It’s also one of the few options on this list that allows dogs on a leash. The 2026 festival is scheduled for Fridays through Mondays from October 2–31.

If your kids want rides as much as they want pumpkins, head to Texas Pumpkin Fest in Leander. The festival pairs a large pumpkin patch with live entertainment, food vendors, games, and plenty of fall photo spots.
This one has a busier, more carnival-like feel than a traditional farm patch. It’s scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from October 10 through November 1, plus October 12 and October 30.

Evergreen Farms offers something a little different: a wagon ride into the Christmas tree fields, where kids hunt for hidden pie pumpkins. It turns picking out a pumpkin into an activity they’ll remember.
You can also choose from activities such as mazes, a train ride, and a pumpkin launcher. Because you pay for activities individually, it’s easy to keep the visit short or stay longer if everyone is having fun.
The Pumpkin Hunt is scheduled for September 26–27 and weekends in October. Check the farm’s hours before you go, since Saturday and Sunday hours differ.
